রাজধানীর কারওয়ান বাজারে টিসিবি ভবনের পাশে একটি গ্যারেজে ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ডের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। খবর পেয়ে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের চারটি ইউনিট ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে কাজ করছে।

সোমবার (১৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি) রাত ১০টা ২৮মিনিটে আগুনের খবর আসে বলে জানান ফায়ার সার্ভিস নিয়ন্ত্রণ কক্ষের ডিউটি অফিসার শাহজাহান হোসেন। তিনি জানান, আগুন লাগার খবর পেয়ে সঙ্গে সঙ্গে চারটি ইউনিট ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে কাজ করছে। প্রাথমিকভাবে আগুন লাগার কারণ ও হতাহতের কোনো খবর জানাতে পারেননি ফায়ার সার্ভিসের এ কর্মকর্তা।

On 5^th February 2026, the regular Annual Get-Together of the Axis-Triangle group was held. Various events were arranged throughout the day, including children’s games, cricket matches for adults, biscuit race, quiz competitions, and more. In the evening, a discussion session, prize distribution ceremony, and dinner were organized.

At this event, all members participated along with their family members. The program commenced with an inspiring inaugural speech delivered by the Director of the Group and Managing Director of Axis Energy Ltd., Engr. Md. Monirul Islam. COO of Triangle Engineers Ltd. delivered a brief presentation highlighting the overall achievements and success of the project.. The entire event conducted by Engr. Ahnaf.

 Among the invited distinguished guests Dr. Fazle Elahi (Former Vice-Chancellor of IUT), Engr. Kamrul Islam (The Chairman, Standing Committee on BNBC of BGMEA), Masud Rahman (Sr. Design Engineer (Retd.) of Intel Corporation), Dr. Tariq Bin Yusuf (Former Chief Engineer, DNCC), Engr. Hashmot Uz Zaman (MEP Consultant & Founder President, Utility Professionals) placed their valuable speech.

Engr. Anis (DEVCON), Engr. Siddiki (BETS), Engr. Rafiqul Islam (Director, Ananta), Engr. Farzana (NAFFCO), Representatives from NATIONAL TUBE, Amin Mohammod Group, RUPAYAN, officials of BFSCD were present there also.

The entire program was beautifully organized and successfully conducted. Attractive prizes were distributed among the winners of different events. A crest of honor was presented to Father of Md. Kholilur Rahman (Director, ATG) by all the directors as a token of honor.

Group Chairman Engr. Shahjahan Alom  expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone present and expressed his firm commitment to contributing further to the development of Bangladesh through the Axis-Triangle group.

At the end of the program, the company’s Managing Director, MD. Allama Shayekh Bin Nur expressed heartfelt thanks to all the distinguished guests present and thanked everyone for their sincere efforts in making the program successful.

A fire broke out at a jhut (garment scrap) warehouse in the Dewaliabari area under Konabari police station in Gazipur on Thursday afternoon (January 8), officials and local residents said. 

Locals first tried to put out the flames before alerting the Fire Service. 

Six units, including teams from the Konabari station and nearby fire stations, were deployed to the scene and were working to bring the blaze under control after it spread to an adjoining warehouse. 

Warehouse Inspector Saiful Islam of Konabari Modern Fire Service said firefighters were still battling the fire. 

on Monday, 22^nd September 2025, a chemical warehouse in Gazipur's Tongi caught by fire. The fire broke out at the chemical warehouse beside Sahara Super Market around 3:30pm. Eight people were burnt. Among them 5 was Fire Fighters. According to Tongi Fire Service official Mohammad Shahin Alam. Those people suffered burn injuries when they were trying to douse the blaze,

Of the injured, six were first taken to Tongi Government Hospital and later, they were rushed to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery as their condition deteriorated.

However, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be confirmed, the official said, adding that the incident might have happened from flammable chemical inside the warehouse.
